Chef Nasrin can’t remember life before cooking. For her, cooking is an expression of love. In her family’s kitchen in Tehran, she faithfully learned secret recipes and delicate skills from her grandmother and mother. In her restaurant those dishes and memories are transformed into a flavorful experience that transcend borders and time. Nasrin's kitchen menu is a celebration of traditional dishes from all over Iran.The menu consists of classic stews including her signature Fesenjoon - an elegant combination of pomegranate molasses and crushed walnuts, as well as other beloved favorites like Ghormeh sabzi. The various spices and textures of this cuisine are steeped with culture, history, and tradition renowned throughout the world. Parklife is an indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar in Gowanus. We offer tacos, tlacoyos and tlayudas inspired by Mexican, Persian and Texan flavors. We feature seasonal cocktails, local beers and small batch spirits. Open all year round, we also host free weekly and monthly events to make your dining experience truly unique. All events are free to attend with a 2-drink minimum purchase to participate.Reservations are available for groups less than 18 people. Walk-ins are welcome pending capacity. I booked one of parklife’s solariums for a birthday party and it was the perfect spot- warm enough, even on a very cold December night, and a private comfortable space with good service. Uniquely good for large groups!

Very cozy and comfortable dining experience on a chilly, late November evening. Enjoyed sitting at the bar - the bar tender was attentive and flexible with my order. Appreciated her! The brick oven roasted half chicken and Mediterranean salad was exceptional! Hated to take the last bite! Will return soon.
