It’s American bistro fare, crafted from high quality ingredients with a chef at the helm in every kitchen.Matchbox draws in passersby with oversized windows lining the sidewalk and a front-row view of the blazing pizza oven. Once indoors, the vibe remains warm and residential, as though guests are being welcomed into the Matchbox home. The design achieves this effect through elements like draperies to soften some of the more industrial edges and add texture, open shelving and wine displays, light gray wood wainscotting, and hardwood flooring throughout to lend natural warmth. Great to have this place in McLean! The chili was amazing. We would dine here much more often if open later on Friday and Saturday. We often drive to Tyson’s after events since this location closes early.

Great experience as always. Caesar provided fantastic and attentive service. The food was reliably delicious. The only slight drawback is the noise level which I would describe as overly lively. Patrons and staff were all trying to talk over the music. Perhaps a notch down on music to just make it lively. Thanks, North Italia.

Our server was amazing. She anticipated our needs ahead of time, had a genuinely cheerful attitude, checked on us at good intervals, and got all of the orders correct. One of the best waitresses there. Thank you!! Football games galore around the restaurant. A relaxing great time had by the whole family.
