On the doorstep of the bustling Borough Market, the first Casa do Frango lies within a converted 19th-century industrial warehouse, a building full of character, complete with vaulted ceilings, arched windows and relics of the past. Casa’s menu is inspired by the rich culinary history of Portugal and the wider Mediterranean. True to Portuguese tradition, there is an emphasis on cooking over a wood-charcoal grill. The restaurant has become known for piri-piri chicken, with perfectly caramelised skin and a deep flavour which comes from a brush of Casa’s secret piri-piri blend. The menu offers so much more, with small and large plates all designed to share. Everything at Casa is made fresh in-house, using top quality, locally sourced ingredients. The food is complemented with an all-Portuguese wine list, cocktails, mocktails and Super Bock beer on draught.     We started with great martinis, accompanied by hand carved Iberico Ham. Menu choices centred around Portuguese influenced dishes and some fab veggie choices - the sweet potato and black bean main is the best ever. Fresh fish and char-grilled meats also. Highly recommend

    Really nice restaurant in a great location. Good, authentic food on a small but varied menu with lots of drinks options. Friendly staff. Food portions were more than adequate but lose a star for having cold dining plates at the table. I was also surprised at a hefty 13.5% tip automatically added to the bill - 10% OK, 12.5% maybe - but 13.5% - not really on as, for example, this effectively put our £40 bottle of wine at £45.40 ... £5.40 for bringing it to the table in an ice-bucket and opening the bottle! All in all - a good experience - four adults with a mix of starters and mains to share, with one bottle of wine - £180 - a bit steep for lunch, but as my wife said, "We are in London"

    It was a weekday and we were the only people there. However, we have been there on a Saturday before and it was packed. They have to turn people away. The food was great except one starter I ordered was not available and one desert was also not available. That aside the food is excellent and very authentic Would definitely go back.
