We had to wait a while for our table- but we know it’s not the fault of the restaurant. People need to realize that they can’t linger at their table- especially when they are the early reservation. Pasquale and his team totally did right by us. It was a great dinner- fantastic drinks and food.

Beautiful decorated for the Christmas season. Sat in the enclosed outer area. Service was excellent. Matt, our waiter was very attentive The sushi rolls (Smokey Mountain and Black Widow) were colorful and very tasty. The entrees, the Scallop + Shrimp combo plus the Branzzino over the Mushroom Risotto with a Lemon Butter sauce was wonderful. The scallops were perfectly cooked , juicy and reasonably sized. The Branzzino was nicely seasoned and paired well with the Mushroom risotto. The Christmas cocktails were decadent - if you like chocolate and had a sweet tooth, you’d love them. Party of 6 for Christmas Eve. Dinner was fantastic. It was busy but the service was great. Great ambience and lighting. Curated cocktails. Noise was well controlled. Food was the star of the show. We were there at night so I can't wait to go back for lunch to see the views of the ocean from the dining room.

We have eaten at Char in Red Bank several times and we are always very pleased. Food is delicious and cocktails are perfectly made. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a steakhouse with ambiance and a nice bar area.

It was not a busy night 12/23 so we were able to sit at a table of 4 to accommodate our party of 2. That was nice. Normally I feel very squeezed in. Food is always good except for their molten lava cake. I got a cowboy burger - medium. Cooked perfect and delicious. My husband got the smashed burgers he enjoyed as well. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive.
