The Windham Restaurant is proud to occupy one of Windham’s most significant historical sites. First operated as a farm in 1729, the present Colonial style house was built in 1812 and was extensively restored at the turn of this century. Horseshoe Grill in North Reading has been family-owned since the 1920s when it was originally a supper club for members only. That changed in 1957 and, since then, patrons have come from all over to sample the famous ribs that have made Horseshoe Grill an institution. The relaxing atmosphere inside makes it the perfect place to get to work on a rack of ribs, lobster Rangoon, Thai chili calamari or nachos. There is lighter fare at Horseshoe Grill too like the Asian chicken lettuce wraps, cheese quesadilla, ahi tuna and summer fruit salad. There are gluten-free options on the menu too.

We came for dinner and they had live music. The staff was so wonderful! We were running late from traffic and the hostess was so kind to us and assured me they’d hold our reservation. The food and drinks were quick and delicious. We’ll be back thank you!

Good food and atmosphere lined the chicken wasn’t a fan of the wax beans glad the server and kitchen could replace it with fries definitely will make another appearance

Great time at B&B as always! Service was attentive, which was great. The food was just ok this time, but it might’ve been an off-day for the kitchen. Still one of my go-tos! Got the biscuit basket (10/10), the hash scramble (5/10), and the biscuits and gravy (6/10). The Biscuits and Gravy tend to be my favorite but the gravy was really watery this time and had soooo many crunchy onions.
