In January 2015 the original owners sold the business to Sunset Hospitality Group, a Santa Cruz family owned and operated company. We completed a full remodel of the restaurant, reinvented the food and service and opened May 7, 2015.The new Margaritaville is dedicated to serving made from scratch Mexican seafood in a first class casual environment. The food was excellent, homemade fresh pasta and delicious sauces. Would definitely return for the food; however, the noise level was horrible. It’s a small, quaint place with only a few tables inside and we were seated next to a large party (which took up 85% of the dining room) who were loud, rude, and drunk. The food was lovely but our table couldn’t even hear eachother or the waitress. If you go, request to sit outside or your ears will be ringing by the end of your meal!

They were shorthanded on staff do to illness. Manager was AMAZING! Went out of his way to make a large party feel welcome and overcame the issue.
