We are a small, family run restaurant since 2002 specialising in carefully sourced Aberdeen Angus beef from Scottish small highland farms, cooked simply but with flair and attention to detail.Our emphasis is on high quality local ingredients and fresh produce from the best of local suppliers. Beef is selected, prepared and hung for us by Award wining "John Gilmour" of Macmerry master butchers since 1946. Fresh fish are delivered daily by Calum Sinclair and J.K Thompsons. West coast Mussels are delivered fresh daily by "Sea Mcgee". Our venison comes from wild Perthshire deer, lamb from the Scottish Borders. It was absolutely amazing. The venison Wellington was to die for, and very reasonably priced. The processes of meat explanation and choice of weapon (aka, knives) were entertaining, and made the meal that much more enjoyable. Louise, our server, was so kind and thorough- she deserves a raise and every major holiday off. And as a bonus, the manager is very charming and handsome :) Definitely stop by if you get the chance!
