Our steaks are seasoned with a little salt and pepper because a steak like this needs nothing else. Topped with melted butter and served on a sizzling plate. In 1979, after over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Joe Impastato opened Impastato’s in Metaire. Only 5 years before, his brother Sal opened Sal and Judy’s in Lacombe. Now the family of restaurants extends to Madisonville with the opening of Impastato Cellars on September 5, 2013. The Impastato family decided to bring the same traditional, authentic Italian cuisine to the table on the Northshore along with the old world ambiance of a 600 square foot wine cellar featuring over 400 labels, in addition to a wide variety of spirits and craft beers.

    Awesome experience! We really felt like VIP's. Expensive meal but very high quality. The kids were treated to cotton candy at end of meal. Steak was amazing.

    Everything was EXCELLENT, food & service. The only downfall was the hostess. She is an elderly lady with a sourpuss attitude! She was extremely rude when we arrived. And that is the initial impression. We had a reservation but 3 people had the flu and were not able to attend. I tried calling more than once to change it, but no one answered the phone. So upon our entrance, we told them. She was RUDE and absolutely unprofessional. And she remained that way till we were seated. I’m sure she must be family, because if you read the reviews she is complained about frequently! The management needs to talk to her about her attitude. Some people might just leave after having to deal with her!

    We’ve made it a tradition to have lunch every year on Christmas Eve with our kids. The food and waiter were amazing! I accidentally made a reservation for 2 instead of 4. The host/manager seemed aggravated. I apologized twice otw to the table and he ignored me. Other than that we had a great time!
