Our kitchen is a full two-stories, equipped with three refrigerators for beer, seafood, vegetables and steaks. Our state-of-the-art kitchen also boasts smokers, steamers and broilers on which the chef can cook multiple steaks at once. This place used to be our go-to restaurant for all occasions when we lived at Hampton CT in Kew Gardens. Their weekly prime rib special was a must and always good fun at the bar. I decided to have a group brunch with friends to celebrate Christmas as it was more centrally located for everyone. Having been away for nearly 7 years, it was like seeing an old friend again. Food is always prepared thoughtfully and the staff is awesome. Not surprising to learn that John, the general manager is still there. Thanks Austin Ale House for another great memory.

Food is 5 star. Service is 5 stars. Everything is appropriate for a 5 star rating … except… one thing…. When I bring a special bottle of wine in for my birthday… don’t charge me $45 for a corking fee! $10 is standard. $25 is upper tier… $45 is stupid. Seriously that’s my only complaint. I go to Christos because it is superb quality. I am fine with paying more for high quality. But $45 for a corking fee… not reasonable.
