Housed in the restored 19th century Victoria Quarter, The Cut & Craft Leeds is a beautiful restaurant with historic features and a show-stopping central cocktail bar.Open every day serving lunch and dinner, with brunch and roasts on the weekend, you can expect elegant interiors in a building rich with character and a lively, vibrant atmosphere. Named 'Restaurant of the Year' at the Yorkshire National Business Hero Awards in 2023 and 2024, The Cut & Craft combines contemporary steak and seafood dishes with a premium list of locally-crafted drinks. We have an extensive food menu all made freshly on site including our signature flat iron steak, prepared by our very own in-house butcher. We also regularly host brunches and special events with brands like Whispering Angel, Moët & Chandon, Charlotte Tilbury, NARS and more.

The Whippet Inn Steak and Alehouse is a sympathetically restored Victorian pub with quirky modern twist, giving it an understated decadence. This welcome addition to the York restaurant scene provides an adult only environment, hidden away on York’s North Street and celebrates the best in British food and drink. The Whippet Inn’s main aim is to get the best food produce they can find in Yorkshire and then pair it with real ales, lagers, spirits and wines from around Great Britain. A fine example of this is their air dried on the bone 40 day aged Yorkshire beef from Ripon. We are an adult dining restaurant only, as much as we love children and are raising a bunch of our own, we have decided to make this a little haven of tranquillity- a getaway for all.

    We ordered French onion soup, pork cheek to start which was delicious. Me and my partner both had the fillet steak with truffle and Parmesan fries, onion rings and mac n cheese everything was 10/10 no faults. Steak cooked perfectly. For desert I had the baked Alaska and my partner had sticky toffee pudding both were fantastic! Jonathan our server was amazing too!

    Despite being Valentine’s Day and very busy, we were treated like we were the only people there by a fabulous team from the bar staff and front of house team, to the chefs. The food was outstanding and we would definitely visit again. It is to his credit that the Maitre D, Daniel did not want to be singled out but he deserves a mention for the way he orchestrated everything to make it a special evening.

    Dined here with my girlfriend for our valentines meal, my steak was perfect however my girlfriend's steak came slightly overcooked; easy mistake to make it was very busy. We mentioned this to the staff and they were great. They allowed her to finish what she liked and gave us a full replacement meal with no extra charge even gave her a filet steak when she initially ordered the rump. The lady who served us was fantastic unfortunately I was unable to get her name however she was kind , understanding and reassuring when we mentioned the issue with her steak. Amazing customer service would recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing meal.

    Another great evening at Leeds Bar and Grill. Great atmosphere, attentive, pleasant and professional staff. The food was excellent cooked to perfection. It was my birthday and the staff looked after me including a birthday dessert. I would highly recommend the venue and will definitely be back.

    Our first visit to Cut and Craft and we loved it. Such lovely surroundings and the food was wonderful . I had a martini which was expertly prepared . My wife has to have gluten free food and it can be difficult to eat out but the very friendly, polite and professional Charlotte made it all very enjoyable. We had different choices in all three courses but we both enjoyed them all. Many Thanks . We will be back soon
