EXPERIENCE TEPPANYAKIJapan Inn was established in 1990 when founders opened their first location in Plantation, FL. Since then we have been serving an extended variety of Japanese and Thai food including fresh sushi. We had the honor to be named Best Sushi Restaurant in Plantation by Hometown Herald readers.In 2002 a second location was opened in Weston, FL, and soon enough it was voted Best Japanese Restaurant by “Best of Weston”.Our third location was opened in Doral, FL during the summer of 2019, and we plan to keep growing to share our food and entertainment with our customers all over South Florida. The Japan Inn Group also owns Kimura Japanese Steak & Seafood located in Boynton Beach, FL.

Chef/Owner Keiichi Maemura chose the name Shimuja in respect to Shimazu Nariakira, for his Philosophy, Intelligence, and being wise. His focus is to give people out of Japan an opportunity to eat Tonkotsu Ramen made with soy sauce, which is the taste of home in Kagoshima.Kagoshima Special is a Ramen created by Chef/ Owner Kei-san himself. Extra chashu and a whole egg float at the base of this large bowl of ramen, and in the center there is a generous portion of mixed steamed vegetables. Topping the entire bowl off is a large pinch of our fried burdock root, a labor of love that adds a textural contrast and an earthy flavor to the soup. The burdock is piled in a way that is representative of the volcano on Kagoshima which is still active to this day.Shimuja is known for its cozy atmosphere, selected by SunSentinel Travel & Life as one of the 18th best dishes in all of South Florida.

    We had an incredible experience at Casa Sensei! The atmosphere was absolutely amazing, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. Our server, Alex, went above and beyond—he took the time to explain how their food service works and even recommended some fantastic dishes for us to try. We ordered several sushi rolls and the Korean Beef BBQ Fried Rice, which was not only delicious but also came in a huge portion—definitely great for sharing! Every dish we had was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. To top it all off, every table receives a large serving of cotton candy at the end of the meal. Our server explained that this unique touch is meant to bring a sense of nostalgia to the dining experience, and it was such a fun way to wrap up an already fantastic evening. If you’re visiting Las Olas Blvd, I highly recommend stopping by Casa Sensei. Exceptional service, incredible food, and a fantastic ambiance—this spot is a must-visit!

    Shibuya is a hidden gem in Weston. My husband and I are here on vacation with family. We had been here two years ago and discovered Shibuya. We had to bring our family. As we knew, it was another delicious experience with exceptional service! Shibuya is a 100% must try. You won’t be disappointed.
