This ancient listed building pre-dates the Great Fire of 1666 and is the oldest wine house in the City. Its origins were as a Merchants house and it is believed that smugglers used the old tunnel to the river from the cellars. Tucked away but what a find. the staff were amazing, friendly and so helpful when choosing dishes - ALL of which were amazing... The wine was also exactly what you'd expect it do be and slipped down easily to compliment the food. The atmosphere was just right with tables laughing and the noise level was just right. Highly recommend this place and will certainly come back for more.

This was my second experience at the wine bar. I was attracted to the spot as it is located in the westin hotel where I was staying. The portions are small and the quality is just ok. For the price, I would expect slightly larger portions or higher quality. The ambiance is also just ok it was very noisy so I couldn’t feel relaxed and enjoy the views. Overall if you are looking for a convenient spot and are interested in pairing wine with a few small plates this is the spot for you

Easy going and informal. Not too busy for City lunches which is appealing. Mgmt/Bar Staff very friendly and relaxed. Food menu not extensive but decent pub grub type food.
