Moro and Morito chef proprietors, Sam & Sam Clark, opened their third restaurant, located at 195 Hackney Road in 2016.Morito Hackney Road's Head Chef, Sevan Tchivitdji, draws influences from Southern Spain, North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean.Morito has a concise offering of wines from the Mediterranean - primarily mainland Spain and Portugal - with a couple of lesser-known wines from the Canary Islands.     The food was incredible. So much flavor and reasonably priced. The cod melted in my mouth and the lamb chops were beautifully cooked. Our waitress Sarah was really nice and attentive. She suggested some really nice sherry for us to try and we weren't disappointed. My girlfriend and I will definitely be coming back.

    From the moment we walked in, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, setting the perfect tone for a romantic evening. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with recommendations that truly enhanced the meal. The food... wow! Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. Unique flavours, perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. decadent yet light enough to leave us craving more. Overall, this restaurant exceeded all expectations. Every detail was carefully thought out, from the atmosphere to the food to the service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

    Portuguese tapas are so good, especially at Bar Douro. They have Portuguese waitresses, and as a Portuguese person, I love that because, honestly, people who go to Bar Douro get recommendations from people who have eaten Portuguese food all their lives. They know what they are recommending for you. The sausage croquettes, the octopus salad, the potatoes with garlic, the prawns ( Gambás ao Guilho” the Bacalhau a Bras, and the Artichoke salad were our pick tonight, and it didn't disappoint at all; we also had the Pasteis de nata with cinnamon ice cream and the Portuguese style fig cake with vanilla ice cream. We had a fantastic choice of food, and honestly, next time, I will eat the cod fish fritters because they are excellent, too. My friend enjoyed her birthday dinner. The Ginjinha cocktails were refreshing and tasty, and the port wine was great for dessert.
