Avelo Restaurant is located in a heritage townhouse on a quiet street in Yorkville and serves some of the city's finest plant-based cuisine. Food, service and atmosphere never disappoints. We sat downstairs in the cellar which was very cozy and intimate and we could easily talk and listen. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. Three of us had pasta (different types) and all loved them. One, had the steak and said it was the best he has ever had. This will always be my favourite midtown Italian restaurant.

It was my first time trying plant based restaurant and I really enjoyed each dish. We tried burrata, pappadelle and white truffle agnolotti and finished off with sweet potato cheesecake. They were delicious and all staffs were very kind and attentive. Definitely going back!

Serving sizes were great and the food was delicious. My extremely picky mom raved about the salmon she ordered. It was cooked to perfection and served piping hot. She hates it when salmon is undercooked or lukewarm. The pizzas were very tasty and we highly recommend the sweet everything. Overall a wonderful experience and a perfect location for a family dinner. Special mention to our server on Boxing Day, he was very attentive and his menu suggestions were spot on. Thank you for the great food and the wonderful night.
