Chef Eugenia Hobson and her team prepare authentic Greek dishes served attentively in a breezy Aegean-inspired atmosphere. Our signature dishes include the grilled octopus, the kolokithokeftedes (stuffed zucchini fritters), the lavraki whole fish (branzino) filleted table side, and the arni giouvetsi (lamb shank with orzo). Our selection of nine desserts are all made fresh daily in-house and feature Greek classics such as the baklava and the galaktoboureko. Our wine list is meticulously curated on a seasonal basis by son Philip Hobson selecting from Greece's top vineyards who produce indigenous varietals such as Assyrtiko & Xinomavro, and western grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon & Sauvignon Blanc. Our beer selection focuses on bottled Greek brews while our bar is fully stocked to serve both classic cocktails and signature drinks inspired by the best bars in Athens. Outdoor tables are available in the summer months. We are located steps away from Bloomies and Barnes & Noble.

    Nestled in the heart of Washington DC, The Pembroke is a delightful culinary gem that offers a perfect blend of ambiance, service, and exquisite dishes. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed! Starting with the Bagel Salmon, I was blown away by the freshness of the ingredients. The bagel was perfectly toasted, providing a delightful crunch that complemented the silky, rich cream cheese and the succulent slices of smoked salmon. The addition of capers and red onions added a burst of flavor that elevated the dish to new heights. It was a beautifully balanced plate that left me craving more. The Eggs Benedict was equally remarkable. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, with the yolks oozing out beautifully when cut. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and rich, striking the right balance of tanginess that paired wonderfully with the savory ham. Served atop a toasted English muffin, this dish was a comforting yet elegant choice that made for a satisfying brunch experience. Beyond the food, the restaurant design is a feast for the eyes.     We wanted to dine out on Christmas Eve this year and decided to check out Bellissimo in Old Town Fairfax. It was the perfect spot! Parking was easy, the menu had a nice variety to choose from, the waiter (the owner's son) was cordial and eager to please. The butternut squash soup was smooth and creamy, the seafood pasta was luscious, and the cannelloni a perfect ending. We will be back!
