This is my favorite DC restaurant. I make sure to dine here every time I visit the city! The food, drinks and service are great.

A great brunch: the best lemon ricotta pancakes (based on sampling my companion’s) and bagel with smoked salmon I’ve ever had, along with mixed berries, a delicious Bellini and freshly squeezed juices. Portions are generous and attractively presented, service is terrific (attentive and courteous), and the dining room is attractive and light-filled. I’m inspired to return for dinner as well as brunch!

We wanted to dine out on Christmas Eve this year and decided to check out Bellissimo in Old Town Fairfax. It was the perfect spot! Parking was easy, the menu had a nice variety to choose from, the waiter (the owner's son) was cordial and eager to please. The butternut squash soup was smooth and creamy, the seafood pasta was luscious, and the cannelloni a perfect ending. We will be back!

The owner Tom was really gracious in ensuring a nice table for me and my kids to enjoy a nice intimate lunch on Christmas Eve.

We have been going to Ella's since it opened several years ago. The food is always well prepared, delicious and served quickly by very lovely servers. We especially like the beet and orange salad and the Di Mare pizza which is made with pesto and shrimp. It's also conveniently located across the street from the Smithsonian Portrait Gallery/American Art Museum. We love Ella's!
