Closed Jan 8Gia is among the first restaurants in Canada to be recognized and recommended by the renowned Michelin Guide. Gia is a vibrant plant-forward 36 seat restaurant, specializing in handmade pasta with creative takes on Italian classics like plant-based meatballs, Focaccia, Ricotta Gnocchi, Rigatoni Bolognese, White Truffle Ricotta Agnolotti, Eggplant Parmigiana, Squash Risotto and Lion's Mane Steak.Reservations: We allocate a dining period of 2 hours and typically book at 5pm, 6pm and 8pm & 10pm, If you need more than 2 hours kindly let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate. Maximum party size is 5 Friday and Saturday, Bar seating available. Please visit our website giarestaurant.ca. A picturesque, romantic back patio is naturally decorated with ivy. A front patio lets you enjoy the lively sights and sounds of the market.All reservations have a 15 minute grace period. Please call us if you are arriving later than 15 minutes. Your table will be reserved for 1 hour 45 minutes for parties of 1-2; 2 hours for parties of 3-6; 2 hours 30 minutes for parties of 7 or more. If arriving late, we may not be able to extend your seating time if there are reservations scheduled after your allotted timeframe.Please note, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill for groups of 6 or more.

Avelo Restaurant is located in a heritage townhouse on a quiet street in Yorkville and serves some of the city's finest plant-based cuisine. Our aim is to deliver an extraordinary and immersive dining experience where the servers guide guests through an exploration of many small plates highlighting seasonal ingredients while offering insight into each dish. Stefano's Diner is owned by Michelin recommended Gia Restaurant.Our plant based menu includes classic Italian fare: Focaccia, Mozzarella sticks, Baby Gem Salad, Arancini, Cashew Brie, Chicken Parmigiana, Buckwheat Rigatoni Bolognese, Plant based sandwiches on house made ciabatta, and the city's best plant based Smash Burger with bacon and blue cheese toppings. Saturday and Sunday Brunch we open at 10am serving Eggs Benny, BLTs, French Toast, Matcha Lattes, sandwiches and fresh juice. We offer 10 bar seats for walk in and 18 Dining room seats. The design is upscale with micro cemented walls and floors with a walnut and olive green banquette occupying most of the space. Vegan wine, cocktails and mocktails available and our entire menu is available for take out.We are open late on Fridays and Saturdays till 1145.Maximum seating time is 1.5 hours. Open on Feb 17, 12-8pm.

    Gia serves amazing plant-based Italian food with great service. Our drinks, appetizers, and meals came out quickly, and everything was spot on. The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for a tasty and smooth dining experience.

    Beautiful old home with upstairs and downstairs seating. We sat upstairs and the decor was gorgeous with great music in the background. The service was impeccable and the food was to match. A very enjoyable experience.

    We loved our experience at Hawker! Went there for winterlicious, and got to try so many amazing dishes. Our faves were the “Summer” and “Starry Night”. The service was great, and they were very attentive and friendly. Loved that the dishes and concept of the restaurant were explained. I would recommend reserving a table as it’s a smaller place, but very cozy. The ambience is nice and very cute! Would definitely come back again.

    Everyone (even the carnivore in the group) loved the meal. And ensured the celiac member was fully protected. Bang bang broccoli is a must. Love the lettuce wraps. Loved the cheesecake dessert. And perhaps my favourite thing was the mezcal cocktail with green garnish (name forgotten)- not sweet, great flavour. Excellent service
