Dinner for Two has been named Best Steakhouse in New Mexico!
Excellent food, great cocktails and a fun dinning environment! We specialize in Prime cuts of beef, Filet Mignon Rib-eye, New York strip as well as table-side presentations like Caesar salad and Chateaubriand and Bananas foster. Please Call To make a reservation for our dog friendly Patio. Multi-award winning: including Wine Spectator and top 10 in southwest and Best Cocktail. Our cocktails are Well made fun and Forward Thinking, With an emphasis on Seasonality. Happy hour is available from 4 -6:00 every day! (Except Holidays). We love to host dinners for Weddings, organizations, or private celebrations from 2 to 90, everything is made in-house so special diets are easily accommodated: allergies, gluten free, etc.

    I hate to write a poor review, but, much as I was looking forward to this new-to-me restaurant, the experience was underwhelming. The people, especially our server, were lovely; attentive and warm. We went during Restaurant Week which could make a difference in the food, but my daughter, after I told her of our lackluster experience, said that if they go they just dine on appetizers. We had appetizers of blue crab cakes and a Cesar salad; both lacked seasoning. My husband’s main course of fillet mignon was very tender, but here the sauce was over powering. My crab stuffed trout wasn’t stuffed; it was a side of trout with a sauce over the top. The trout had good flavor, but there was no crab involved that I could tell. We tried the chocolate cake (it needed more of a chocolate flavor, especially the frosting) and the key lime pie which also needed more flavor and was akin to cheesecake. We weren’t inspired to return. Sadly.

    Restaurant Week is a prix fixe three course meal at $60 per person. The 20% gratuity is automatically added. We both enjoyed our apps, ordered the two different veal entrees, and dessert was their special bananas Foster. Overall, the food was verry good and the service was attentive and non-obtrusive (all a plus in our opinion). The Sauv Blanc we ordered was three times the retail price, which is a bit exorbiitant. We have dined here before the latest renovations and enjoyed it. I would go back again for Happy Hour and dinner which is not available during Santa FeRestaurant Week. r

    It was good, but in the end we expected better and wanted more, although 1 of our dishes was delicious beyond expectations (twin lobster tails), the other was okay, (crab stuffed trout), i appreciate the effort put into the night, we hoped for more, and expected more. Thank you

    We went to Table for Two on Valentine’s Day 2025. We were expecting the table side Caesar salad, but they weren’t serving it. That should have been posted on their website. The alternative salad was just not very good. It seemed stale and the lettuce wasn’t crisp. The entree we chose was the enchilada with chili chocolate mole. It was satisfying, but not spicy enough. Service was good and I like the ambiance of the place. Maybe I’d go there again, but not sure. There are many places to eat in Santa Fe that I’d also like to try before giving them another shot.

    Took my wife here for Valentine's Day, we were seated right away since we had a reservation. Ordered a few top notch drinks (Love Bubble, White Flag, and the Blunt Force) in addition to our food (crab cakes, mole enchiladas, and the special for the day Surf and Turf). Definitely would like to come back on a non-holiday to try out their happy hour specials.

    Preface by saying it’s extremely rare for us to make any not so positive comments….My reservation clearly stated we were there for our anniversary dinner, but no acknowledgment by anyone, unlike virtually every year for 2 decades. Food was very good, but limited ability from chef to handle food allergy requests. Disappointing that all dishes had the exact same sides, regardless of what you ordered. Wine menu is outdated - first 3 wines I asked about had vintages 2 years younger than advertised. No one came by to fill our water glasses. Background music was 70’s R&B and disco, which doesn’t seem fitting for a nice restaurant. If none of the above doesn’t bother you, then enjoy your meal. Again ,the food was good.
