    Emily, our server was great! I ordered the 10oz filet and I got the end of the tenderloin which has silver skin and connective tissue in it. As a result my filet was not as tender as I expect. Also, I ordered medium-rare and received rare. Had to send it back to the kitchen. and of course it came back medium and in some areas of the filet it came back well don’t the chef needs to trim this area off and use it for something else like mince. tamales were good!

    I thought it would be more classy for the prices, but  the steaks were good. Potatoes was kind of hard.  was thinking it would be cream potatoes, but it was whole red potatoes with a few packs of butter.  I will give it a 3 Star just because the steak was good.

    Our waitress was attentive and on top of it! We didn’t even have to ask for refills or a new fork when I accidentally left mine in a bowl! The steak was PHENOMENAL! It melted in my mouth, was cooked perfectly & was so filling I made two meals out of it! We will definitely be back! 5 stars!

    We live 20 miles from Baton Rouge but find Doe's worth the drive as the food and service is always excellent. We dine there so often that our server, Mary, brings my Martini prepared like I want when we sit down. The steaks and tamales are both wonderful. The entire experience of eating at Doe's in Baton Rouge is a real pleasure. Highly recommend it.

    One of the most PERFECT meals Ihace ever had. Every single bite from appetizer to dessert was excellent. Portions were generous, everything was freshly prepared. As for value, don't let the price of the steaks put you off. I mean if you can eat a 2 pound steak, good for you. My wife and I split a 12oz filet, appetizer, salad, side and dessert. Bill totaled $117, which for the quality was a bargain. Even had we opted for the biggest steak (2.5 lb porterhouse) our bill would still have come un under $150. I could go on but I think you get my point. Try it, you won't be sorry.
