   We arrived earlier than our reservation and the host made a table at the bar for us to enjoy a drink while we waited. He later carried our drinks to our reserved table and checked our coats. This is the first time I’ve dined and felt the need to compliment the host in particular. While we waited the house manager explained the specials and showed the real passion and care for their menu. Our service for our meal was excellent, the food was excellent as well. We live in Pennsylvania, but we’re able to dine at the fat Canary five years ago for our 10th wedding anniversary and we’re happy to have a reason to be there for our 15th anniversary this year. We wish we lived closer, this is the first time we’ve returned to a high-end restaurant after a wonderful experience and have had every expectation met or exceeded the second visit as well. We started with the tuna and the fresh mozzarella and ham. We enjoyed the soup special. I had the scallops and my wife had the tenderloin. Our dessert was the macadamia nut pie. Everything was exceptional. The service was excellent. Though it’s five hours from our house, the fat Canary is undoubtedly our favorite restaurant

   Best restaurant in Williamsburg. Fabulous food, super service, nice wine list. This spot would rival the best big city fine dining restaurants. It’s a chef-driven place that’s head and shoulders above anything else near here.

   Our entire experience from the start to the end was over the top! We got to the restaurant early for a drink. The bar staff went out of their way to make it happen! It is always very busy and a reservation is a must. Our table server read us clearly and made our dinner an event. The waitperson’s suggestions were excellent. We have been coming to Fat Canary since the restaurant opened. The restaurant keeps getting better. Well Done!!!

   Great food. Service was excellent, friendly , and appropriately fast. Staff not afraid to stop and chat. Handicap accessibility is not apparent but is easy to use once you locate it. We are new to the area and will put Fat Canary on top of our must do dinning for places!

   Our favorite restaurant in Williamsburg. My husband and I shared the pear salad he got the pork chop and I got the salmon. The food was outstanding. We were celebrating his birthday. He was given a menu signed by the staff. A very pleasant evening.

   My husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary here and everything was incredible. The service was top notch, the food was fantastic, and the drinks were well made and delicious. They even personalized a keepsake menu for us and the staff signed it. By far my favorite place for a special night out!

    If you can get a reservation, the Fat Canary is a very pleasant place for dinner. We were a party of four and all ordered a different main course. Everyone enjoyed their meal and thought that the food was very good. My one problem with the restaurant is the noise level. For older people, most of whom have hearing problems, it is difficult to carry on a conversation.
