We’re famous for our fajitas and margaritas. Our margaritas are made with freshly squeezed lime juice, and our food is made fresh, from scratch everyday. For added flavor, all of our meats are prepared over a mesquite grill. We’re open daily at 11 am and 9am for brunch Saturdays and Sundays. Join us for happy hour everyday from 4:30 to 6:30 for great drink specials!! At first glance, you might think the name of Rouj Creole is misspelled. Besides “rouj” instead of “roux,” a quick scan of the new restaurant’s menu shows the word “gonbo” where you’d expect to find “gumbo.”But owner Stephen Hightower isn’t a bad speller. He’s just bringing Baton Rouge a taste of Creole cuisine—complete with the authentic Haitian Creole spelling of traditional dishes.
