Nested in Uphams Corner, Dorchester, we're a lively and intimate 30-seat restaurant serving brunch on the weekend and dinner at night with a full bar and outdoor patio. Our food is a celebration of the ingredients and flavors of the African diaspora connected from Asia to the Americas — global comfort food. We are proudly Black-owned, immigrant-owned, and women-owned. We believe that food is a vital aspect of community building and we envision a place that is actively engaged in highlighting the culture, art, and history of our community.- Patio dining: patio reservations are weather-dependent and may be canceled due to inclement weather. Our patios are partially covered protecting from light to moderate rain and light wind. - Timing: dinner's last seating is at 8:45pm and brunch's last seating is at 1:30pm. Your table is reserved for 90 mins for parties of 1-5 guests and 2 hrs for parties of 6+ guests.

Reservations strongly encouraged but we do accept walk-ins. We will only be able to seat you when 60% of your party has arrived. Tables are held for 10 minutes after initial reservation and then your table is forfeited. If the reserved table is forfeited, you will remain on the wait list and seated at the next available table. Subject to applicable change. Guests must arrive with reservation during volume periods to skip the line, late arriving guests will not gain access through a line. All notes and requests in reference to particular seating arrangements between multiple parties will be accomodated to best of abilities, but not guaranteed. Parties will be seated in a discretionary manner based upon volume at time of seating.     Stopped by for a quick drink & a few tacos. We got the fish tacos and birria. Two were plenty, they were really delicious and filling. Fish tacos 10/10, Birria was 9/10 flavor profile was there but the meat was a little dry, even with the dip. Really cool spot though, I loved this location. Ambiance 10/10. Really nice staff! The place smelled incredible.

    So at the heart of it, it’s really all about the food and the food here is Wonder Full. Yeah my partner, and I often talk about the seasonings, but in this case, it was so much more it was the subtle layers or the blending together like a ballet of flavors, components, and cooking methods. We weren’t sure if it would be as good as all the hype, but it is the room is very small and it’s hard not to be somewhere in the room where it’s tight. But the service which was connected, efficient and caring was impressive. We signed up for the New Year’s Eve dinner on the spot. So glad to have these people who own and run this restaurant in such a community and caring manner close by and a neighborhood which is generally overlooked for restaurants of any quality. BRAVO!
