Marcus Grill, 93 years and counting..... The origin of Marcus dates all the way back to 1929 when Charles Marcus invented the original burger in Detroit. Ever since then it has gained national acclaim, having been recognized by USA Today, Detroit News, Daily Tribune, Hour Magazine, Detroit Free Press and Troy Newsletter. Additionally, Recipes has been voted Best Breakfast on two separate occasions. One of the best aspects of Recipes is its versatility. This is an excellent restaurant for enjoying a relaxing breakfast, a fast power lunch or a casual date night out with a loved one. Recipes menu varies wildly depending on what time of day guests visit. Breakfast items include blueberry pancakes, French toast topped with cinnamon apples, classic eggs benedict and pepper pot frittatas. For lunch, Recipes serves sandwiches like the Reuben as well as Asians specialties like pad Thai.

    It doesn't look like much but it is FABULOUS. My wife didn't like our first table. The hostess tried very hard to find another table, but they were so full she couldn't help. However, our darling server suggested we could move to the Pizza Bar which my wife loved (after I found her a high top chair that didn't wiggle (it was actually the uneven floor, but Quien sabe?!?1). After we got seated, she who must be obeyed, perked up. Our server was fabulous as was the Pizza chef who was a charming young man. The salads were fabulous especially the Caesar (Caesar himself would have been taken aback....minus Brutus that is, if you get my drift...) She had the salmon and Nis gadol hayad sham (on this day a miracle happened there}, she can't stop talking about it. I had the Gnocchi with marinara sauce and shrimp....Heavenly. If you want to have a fabulous dinner give the Verona a try

    Management there Alicia was Amazon along with our server Kayla. Being in the service industry myself it was amazing to see how fast and efficient the team was . Additionally it was energetic upbeat and lively. I will be back!
