Da Mario Ristorante was established in 2012 and it is a place for the real lovers of the Italian kitchen. It is located in the heart of Budapest, in the neighborhood of the excessively beautiful Liberty Square. We are combining the traditional Italian recipes with the expertise of our head chefs. On the menu you can find those typical dishes as the popular handmade pastas and the original, Italian pizzas which we make in our wood heated oven. In Da Mario Ristorante we only use source protected products, what we are importing straight from Italy every week in the spirit of freshness. It was difficult to find a same-day reservation at any restaurant in Budapest so w were happy when we found a spot at Kismező. With all our searching we were just glad to finally have some place to eat but what a surprise and a delight to eat here! We were warmly welcomed upon entry and the staff were all friendly and professional. The ambiance is nice and casually cool - stylish with an open kitchen. Food was served relatively quickly and it was all delicious. We had the pumpkin soup, goulash, salad with grilled ricotta and the chicken stew which was like pulled chicken inside a dumpling, along with desserts. We absolutely recommend Kismező and wish we were staying in Budapest longer so we would have a chance to return.
