What a wonderful night... great food, great service! So nice to start our vacation here. We had a window table but it was cold n rainy, the weather did not cooperate! But the GMarlin was fabulous!

We have been dining at Firefly for many years. This occasion was Sandy's birthday. We took an early reservation and were the first through the doors. Martinis were excellent with tiny flecks of ice. A good martini is hard to find in Panama City Beach so really enjoyed ours. Sandy had the lobster tails and I had the eight-ounce filet. Her lobster tails were huge -- dwarfing my steak. Both entrees were perfectly prepared and presented. All of the waitstaff were on point and professional. Our waiter, Matthew, was so helpful and entertaining. We will ask for him on future visits. He was attentive without being intrusive -- a consummate professional which made our evening even more enjoyable. Anything above the tourist trap and/or seafood joint is hard to find on the beach. That is what sets Firefly apart when you are looking for more. Even being thanked by the staff and management as you walk out of the restaurant leaves you with a promise to yourself that you will be back!

Food was very, very bland. I got the mixed vegetables and rice and beans as my sides. I couldn’t eat either of them. The rice and beans tasted like tap water. The veggies were just mushy and overcooked with no seasoning. My entree of coconut shrimp was $33 and it was the worst meal I ate while on vacation. Our sign should have been that it was Saturday night and the place was empty.

For being off the beach, patio seating is limited as well as your view due to its proximity to the building which blocks your view of the sunset. Nice setup inside, bathrooms very clean, restaurant is modern and there was live music indoors when we went on a Wednesday night. Menu is small, but food was great! Had a couple of cocktails which were also good, everything reasonably priced and not overcrowded compared to most restaurants in the area. Highly recommended!
