Don’s Favorite Foods is a prix-fixe restaurant created by husband and wife team Chef Don Salamone and Kate Laurents in partnership with Sommelier Adam Galbraith. We also offer cocktails courtesy of Jeffrey Morgenthaler and Benjamin "Banjo" Amberg.Our Italian and French-influenced menu changes monthly and highlights dishes Don grew up with as well as those he mastered though his experiences working at Michelin-starred restaurants all over the country.From Don: At Don’s, you may find gnocchi like my Ma used to make or Italian sausage modeled after my Godfather’s, Oreste “Ernie” Capone. You might also find scallops still in their shells, Oregon pork in the style of Braciole, and popovers I learned to make from my mother-in-law, Terry, because the Laurents family makes those every Christmas morning... beef tartare, sea urchin, caviar, etc too. First off I have to say that the food at the Kona grill was top tier. The macadamia nut chicken was beyond delicious the creme sauce and the potatoes and the green beans was probably some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Our server was also fantastic and the table side fire display they did with my husbands steak was awesome. The downside is the restaurant was so loud I had a difficult time hearing my husband across our small table that we were seated at. That was seriously the only downside other than that great experience

This is one of our very favorite restaurants in all of Portland, especially for meeting family and friends. The ambiance and comfort level are unmatched. The menu is extensive enough for everyone to find something they enjoy. The prices do not exceed the value of the meal, which itself is invariably of high quality and well-prepared. One does not go away hungry. The service is always friendly and welcoming. The Oswego Grill in Lake Oswego always feels festive and warm. Seriously, I cannot think of another restaurant with all these fine qualities.

Wow. We had been here a few years ago right when they opened and it was OK but not great. They have since remodeled and obviously have a new chef, and the food was fantastic. We will definitely be back soon!

We have been going to Wildfin since they opened. This occasion was my 93rd birthday observance. The food was better than ever! It continues to be my favorite restaurant in this area.
