Bluestone is a Chicago-style restaurant in Evanston that offers homestyle cooking in a warm and welcoming environment. Owner John, whose obsession with golf led to the more than 250 pin flags decorating the restaurant, opened Bluestone after transitioning from commercial film production. His goal was to create a locale that was filled with friendliness and familiar faces, all while serving a variety of menu options with a hometown feel. Guests can enjoy favorites like crab cakes, or branch out and discover a new one from their wrap, soup, quesadilla or burger menus. Our waitress was great. She took our drinks order and gave us time to look over the menu and talk. It was my family member’s birthday and we got something special from the kitchen. I had to get something changed and I found the person who helped me earlier to assist me. We loved the food and enjoyed celebrating there!

The drinks and food are consistently awesome. The food is high quality and a real taste of Eastern European food. The service has always been great. We travel from Wisconsin to here often, a must try if you’re anywhere close to.
