Horseshoe Grill in North Reading has been family-owned since the 1920s when it was originally a supper club for members only. That changed in 1957 and, since then, patrons have come from all over to sample the famous ribs that have made Horseshoe Grill an institution. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived but we were seated quickly. It took a bit for the food likely because it was so busy but the waitstaff was great and the food was very good.

I love trying neighborhood black-owned business and Comfort Kitchen EXCEEDED my expectations. The entire experience was stellar from the warm welcome, the informed menu to the knowledgeable/kind staff. Every single dish we tried was amazing. Our drinks were balanced, inventive and top notch. I was celebrating my birthday and at the end of service the manager even gave me a handwritten birthday card. I will definitely be back.

Wonderful dining experience. Sat at the bar. We started with cocktails, however keep in mind that they do not serve 'hard' liquor so if you have a hankering for a vodka martini, forget about it. We very much enjoyed the freshly shucked oysters that were ice cold and very sweet. Our entrees were perfect as well as the side of Maple Glazed Acorn Squash. Service was excellent. Kudos to our server Leo at the bar!

Rocco's has a good selection of dishes and appetizers, and is affordable. Lots of townies seem to congregate to the bar also. I'd eat there again.
