Established in 2010 by Tim Reinke and John Sharp, the Birdsall House quickly became a destination for craft beer and locally sourced cuisine (some from our own garden!) in the Hudson Valley. Chef Sturgess Spanos, a French-trained veteran, showcases his talent and flair for innovation, which compliment the gastropub's beer-centric beverage program. The Birdsall House Beer Garden opened in 2011 offering patio dining and picnic tables for groups to congregate and socialize over a pint. We look forward to your visit.

Welcome to Slainte! This large space in the heart of the city gives visitors a unique take on Irish favorites along with traditional offerings. Two large garage style doors adorn either side of the front door that welcomes you in - "Slainte"! Four televisions give patrons a great place to watch their team while cozy semi circle booths offer a more intimate gathering space for friends. One of the longest bars around offers 8 drafts as well as satisfying cocktails. Come for the drinks, stay for the food, enjoy the atmosphere. There’s plenty of room here for you.     My only real complaint was the limited booth seating. Food, service all good. And the food came quickly which was nice. Bathrooms have a bad odor. I would return.

    We had a lovely lunch at the Thayer. The fried chicken was expertly seasoned and the best I've had. Crunchy where it should be and juicy and tender inside. The Cole slaw was just right. Great snap to the fries. The other dish was the Chicken Salad club. Hit every mark and totally enjoyed it. We also ordered the soup of the day and the only mishap was it was brought out not piping hot. A quick word to the waiter and the soup was retuned and the temperature was corrected. In fairness, most restaurants never serve piping hot soup, which they should. We had a view of the Hudson and the ambiance of the hotel and restaurant is old world elegance. The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely go back. It would be a fabulous place to watch the autumn colors. Next time.

    First time at Gleason’s and we were not disappointed. Our waiter was extremely attentive and the service was the best we had had in a very long time. The food and drinks were excellent as well as the entertainment. We will definitely be going back soon.
