What an unexpected and pleasant surprise this restaurant was, nestled within the old Eagle Tavern. The ambience and decor really aligned with the broader theme of a southern farm to table kitchen. The cocktails were spectacular, especially if you like whiskey, because they have an incredible selection. The sweet potato hush puppies were perfectly fried, and the honey and sauce were delicious. We ordered the short rib and salmon, and the chef was able to make adjustments to the vegetables to address an allergy issue. Both plates were licked completely clean because everything was absolutely delicious. We also got the skillet cornbread and while it was two cut slices on a skillet and not an actual skillet, the flavor was delicious. The only adjustment I would suggest there is the butter was chilled, which made it hard to spread. I wasn’t as excited about the dessert selection but honestly, I didn’t need dessert because the meal was just spectacular. Special shout out to our server, Maddie, who was perfectly attentive without being ever present.

Friends and I went to the Pajama Brunch on New Years Day at the White Dog Cafe in Chester Springs. This is the first that I have been to this new White Dog. It is wonderful. It has tons of character and many small rooms. They have retained the country charm of the old home. The food is always excellent. My two friends had the specials, which were yummy. The waffles with fruit compote and syrup with a taste of coffee were delicious. I recommend White Dog for a terrific dining experience.

This was our second visit to the Noble Goat, and this time we brought some friends. Once again the Noble Goat team did not disappoint. It started with our wonderful server Courtney. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. As for appetizers and main dish, simply fabulous! Our guests enjoyed their meals as well and definitely plan on coming back. We have been to Osaka many times for both dine-in and carry-out. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, and the wait staff is terrific. Everyone is so kind and helpful. The food is always perfect, hot, and presented wonderfully. The sushi is flawless and presented nicely. My family loves everything there. Sometimes, it can be hard to find a place like this, and we hope they do well (I think they will) Respectfully, Sue
