The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. The main dining room highlights a massive curved bar with a metal top imported from Paris, a signature piece of Boucherie.

Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. Walk-in guests are welcome to enjoy the bar area as well.The Dabney has been awarded one Michelin star every year since 2017, James Beard Foundation Best Chef Mid-Atlantic for Chef Jeremiah Langhorne in 2018, and Washingtonian Magazine's #1 restaurant in 2023.     Great location, delicious food, and a fantastic ambiance. My only very minor issue was the noise level, which made it a bit difficult to hear the waiter, who was softly spoken. Aside from that, it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very accommodating for our party of seven. I’ll definitely be back!

    We’ve been to Huncho House a couple times and wanted to visit 1123. I love both, but the full service bar at 1123 is an added bonus. Sushi lovers would love this place. I had the fish and grints and the left overs are delic still! The chocolate cake was for dessert, delic as well. I’m moving out the area but when in town will return! Note, I am vegetarian, occasionally pescatarian when I eat out, no vegan options, but I came also for the amazing ambiance. Our waitress was Faith, loved her personality and she allowed me to hold some items to the side and customize my food a little. I didn’t ask for much. The flavors was on point!

    From the point of arrival throughout the entire dining experience, everything was perfect! The House manager sat us promptly and offered complimentary champagne. The food was amazing, and our waitress was awesome- she was professional, knowledgeable, offered great recommendations, and was attentive throughout the evening. We tried 4 different appetizers and different entrees. Everyone enjoyed their food and the ambiance with music in the background made it a great experience! A $600+ bill- would gladly do it again! You definitely get what you pay for here.
