Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. Walk-in guests are welcome to enjoy the bar area as well.The Dabney has been awarded one Michelin star every year since 2017, James Beard Foundation Best Chef Mid-Atlantic for Chef Jeremiah Langhorne in 2018, and Washingtonian Magazine's #1 restaurant in 2023. Caruso’s Grocery is a delightful, convivial restaurant with attentive service and well prepared dishes. Our waiter was friendly with great recommendations on the specials. We ordered the special, veal parmigiana, and it was exceptional! Wish we lived nearby so we could come often.

Great location, delicious food, and a fantastic ambiance. My only very minor issue was the noise level, which made it a bit difficult to hear the waiter, who was softly spoken. Aside from that, it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very accommodating for our party of seven. I’ll definitely be back!

Came in for apps and drinks, the Island Time drink was delicious the Jerk Wings 10/10, we also had the meat pie and doubles that were also solid. Will definitely be back !

I had the Grilled Chicken which was seasoned very well. The Collard Greens were awesome and I will back to try the Fried Red Snapper next time. Cool place for drinks or dinner.
