Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. I used to go to the ramp frequently before Covid lockdown and this was my first time back and I’m so pleased the place hasn’t changed. We'll, in fact, it’s gotten better! The menu is expanded with some very reasonable lunch specials. Eric, who was working the lunch shift gave us plenty of attention. And the martinis are as good as they ever were

Went for a friend's birthday as a group of six. Highly recommend having a group that you can share all the delicious tapas and taste some of everything. Everything we ordered was delicious and spaced out really nicely at 3 to 4 plates at a time. Really impressed with the menu and the chef. Variety was great and we had plenty to order as vegetarians. Really looking forward to go back.

A beautiful seamless evening celebrating a birthday. Layla, our server was amazing! Warm and attentive. My filet mignon and my partner’s short ribs were outstanding. Roasted brussel sprouts were one of my favorites! Gorgeous view, we will be back very soon.
