The Horse and Groom Inn aims to provide great food and drink in a quintessential, traditional 16th century country inn. Dining is relaxed and informal in a friendly atmosphere. The Ox Barn is a 56-seater destination restaurant under the direction of Head Chef, Charlie Hibbert. The nineteenth century former oxen house is the newest addition to the family of meticulously restored farm buildings. Warm welcome. Staff very friendly and attentive. Good size table provided for party of four. My wife is coeliac and this was very well catered for without any fuss. Food was excellent! Can't wait to return. Thank you.

Me and my friend went for a girly trip away and we stayed in the feature room which overlooks the river - it was stunning. The beds are so comfy! The room itself is warm, inviting and clean to a high standard. Due to the flooding, the receptionist kindly upgraded us in the likelihood that the room flooded, with it being so close to the river. We then experienced staying in the junior suit and oh my, how beautiful. We have been truly spoilt. It was unfortunate regarding the floods but this did not stop us from enjoying our time away. The staff were lovely, helpful and nothing was too much. We are definitely thinking about staying again!
