Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees. Second visit- this time we had the 5 course tasting menu for 4 people with 1 wine pairing. Outstanding food and perfect amounts. They were very accommodating for preferences and allergies. Excellent attentive service

We came with our family just before Christmas during the Christmas Market time. The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded. we were welcomed quickly and shown to our table. We were a large group -7- but our table had plenty of space and was not cramped. Our food arrived quickly and all of us enjoyed our food. My son-in-law loved the Beef Tartare and the Oysters. He had some concerns about recent evidence of tainted oysters in other locations but our waitress was able to explain which types of oysters had been gained and to reassure that none of those oysters were served at Cluny. The Black Cod en-Papilotte was also described as delicious -spicy but not too much, interesting. Two of young men had Flat Iron steaks and pronounced them perfectl! Cluny felt like a special place to dine and they did not disappoint . A very enjoyable meal in a lovely setting.
