Tapas originated in Andalucia, a Southern province of Spain, and are considered a fundamental way of life. These tasty small dishes are traditional Spanish dishes found in every bar, cafe, restaurant, and home. A tapa is an appetizer or snack in Spanish cuisine that can be combined to make a full meal and can be cold (such as mixed olives and cheese) or hot (such as gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic) or patatas bravas). My husband and I had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner at 22 Bowen. Although we arrived having no desire to have the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, we both ordered it and were so pleased that we had! It was delicious; the turkey was moist and the sides were all very good. The serving size was huge! We are looking forward to the leftovers tonight. Though the restaurant was very busy, the service was excellent. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return.

Christina is our favorite server. Food is so consistently good, but we’d love to see more menu options. The bluefin tuna special was excellent but not very filling.

Our reserved table was our favorite…service seamless…our meals were delicious and love that are a variety of choices when French fries aren’t your thing. Never felt rushed and our server checked in several times to see if we wanted or needed anything but never intrusive. Great experience…Can’t beat Wickford on the Water for location, view, staff, menu choices and a relaxed ambience when dining with family and friends. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
