The adjacent delicatessen offers a large selection of chef-prepared meals, cheeses, charcuterie and terrines as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.We are proud to have been voted one of Matthew Fort’s ‘Five Favourite Places to Shop’ and one of Rick Stein’s ‘Food Heroes’.

The South Cotswolds holds many attractions and events and the Cat is superbly situated to be able to enjoy many of these. Both the historic towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury are within a stone’s throw of us.A three-mile radius encompasses Westonbirt Arboretum and Westonbirt school, Highgrove gardens, and the Beaufort polo club. Badminton and Gatcombe horse trials are both within easy reach. We are 24 miles from the Roman spa town of Bath and from the city of Bristol, both with their many attractions. Cheltenham races are 34 miles from the Cat.Apart from these attractions, we are in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with many wonderful walks direct from our front door. We welcome well-behaved dogs.Our chef’s mission is to serve delicious pub food at reasonable prices. Our ingredients are fresh and largely sourced from local suppliers. Our menu changes with the seasons and availability of quality produce.

    Fuimos recomendadas por unas amigas y quedamos maravilladas. Exquisito lugar,cálido,acogedor,ambiente ideal para una tarde de diciembre.Decorada con muy buen gusto. Un lugar donde te pasarias horas. Tomando vino, cafe.. Musica española de fondo, sin molestar. Comida exquisita (croquetas,pa amb tomaquet,alcachofas,berenjenas con miel). 10 de 10. Buenos vinos. Precio-calidad adecuado. Personal atento. Camarera y cocinero españoles así que amablemente conversaron con nosotras. Sin duda para recomendar y VOLVER! Una abraçada de dues noies catalanes.

    We had a lovely experience. The food was outstanding - the bone marrow and pig cheeks were the standouts. The staff were lovely and the ambience was perfect. Would highly recommend.

    Is a lovely Gastropub near The Royal Crescent. Staff are fruendly and professional. Been there several tikes when stsying in Bath. Good choice of food but as a non garlic llover, I should have avoided the mushroom rissoto. Their fush and chips and steak are excellent. Can be a little noisy at busy times as children and dogs there but has a happy atmosphere.
