Good local beer, Attentive staff and tasty homemade pies

Our first Christmas Lunch of the season, and as always the Red Lion chefs worked their magic and provided us with an outstanding Christmas Lunch, which we highly recommend. Ashley and Harry served us well at the table.

We love eating at the White Swan. The food is delicious and there is always something new on the menu to try. We’ e never been disappointed.

We always book a table here during our annual holiday to Rutland and would highly recommend a visit. The food is exceptional and is a very reasonable price, given the food quality and standard of service. When you arrive you are greeted by the smell of the home-made bread that is baked every day and everyone gets this to begin, along with some flavoured dipping oil and speciality butter. Today's butter was sea salt and seaweed. Scott, Carol and their team make you feel at ease and provide efficient and unobtrusive service, whilst maintaining a casual feel. We had booked for our wedding anniversary and we found a handwritten card waiting on out table, a nice personal touch. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

Lovely food, always great service from all the staff. Would recommend to everyone, already have on a number of occasions.
