Vancouver Now Has Its Very-Own Georgian Restaurant!Dediko, owned by a mother-son team, serves the country’s famous stuffed breads and dumplings out of a cheery Evergreen Boulevard cafe. Dediko’s menu is stacked with the classics of that region, with a number of different khachapuri, soup-filled dumplings called khinkali, walnut-heavy vegetable dishes called phkali, and various grilled meats called mtsvadi. Also coming from the grill, Dediko’s kababi consists of a kebab-like grilled ground chicken patty with Georgian spices, folded in a roll of lavash flatbread. Nico Bakh is partial to a homey dish called lobio, a bean stew served in an imported Georgian pot, complete with a side of fermented vegetables and a Georgian cornbread called mchadi.

The restaurant is an homage to the dishes our chef/owner grew up eating. Kachka is open for indoor onsite dining. Walk-in lounge and bar seating are also available. Our Lavka grocery is open from 11am-9pm daily with counter service ordering from our Lavka cafe and deli available from 11-3. Seating is first come first serve on our upper patio or indoor lounge tables. We have proudly replaced tipping with a 22% service fee in order to provide a base wage of $25 per hour and free healthcare for all employees.     Flavorful display of beautiful South American tapas style cuisine! Wagyu steak tartare, grilled octopus, and Brandt farms flat iron steak were among some of my favorites. The cocktails are delicious and beautifully garnished! I recommend the sangria! We will definitely be back to try the next “what the chef is eating” lineup!

    I always leave Kachka feeling like my trip was worth it! Last night was no exception. The flavors are always exciting and unique, but there is still an overarching theme of the food being very comforting. I also cannot compliment their vodka selection enough. We got a vodka flight, and every shot was delicious and surprising. The staff were very friendly and attentive, adding to the charm. PS: If you can go during happy hour, I recommend their little combo plate w/ the cabbage roll and borscht! See my photo.

    We had a really memorable dinner with our 12 year old daughter who loved the pizza. The menu variety offered something for everyone. The preparation of the gnocchi (2 large rather than the smaller finger-sized) was a neat and delicious twist and the skirt steak was cooked perfectly. Our server had spot-on wine recommendations that paired nicely with our meals. Excited for a return visit.
