Uncle Bacala’s specializes in Italian-style seafood and other inventive dishes in its warm and cozy New Hyde Park eatery. For a tantalizing start to your meal, enjoy the mozzarella in carrozza cheese-stuffed fried country bread and the mashed potato and mozzarella croquettes, both served with marinara sauce. Some of Uncle Bacala’s house entrées include the breaded salmone in agrodolce served over eggplant in a honey garlic sauce, the beef filetto di manzo with mushrooms, roasted potatoes and spinach in gorgonzola-cognac sauce and the apricot-glazed grilled pork chop. Pasta dishes are also popular with diners at Uncle Bacala’s, with options including the baked penne gratin with pancetta and cheese in a creamy sauce and the zucchini linguini fra diavolo, all of which can be made gluten free. We decided to try Uncle Bacalas because they were running an attractive anniversary special and we are so happy we did! The food was excellent as well as the ambiance, ( beautifully decorated … old school Italian with red checkered tablecloths). Our waiter , “Carmine” was professional and courteous and the Cosmopolitan cocktails were the best we’ve ever had! This will be a favorite spot for dinner from now on. 😊

White Castle on Valentines Day has become our family tradition. My family enjoys the love that comes from the staff and of course the food. Each year the staff at ozone park goes above and beyond for my kids to make them feel special and loved.

This is a crazy good place to have a Valentine's Day date. The staff was friendly and super into it, and it will tell you if your date has a sense of humor. Highly recommended to make a funny and special memory.
