The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents. Our bakery and cafe serves La Colombe Coffee alongside an array of pastries and sandwiches crafted by Chef Leigh Omilinksy.Dinner reservations are available Tuesday - Sunday; we are closed for dinner service on Mondays. Our cafe operates from 7:00am - 3:00pm every day. Lunch is available from 11:00am - 2:00pm every day. We do not take lunch or cafe reservations, it is first come first served. My friend and I had a fantastic experience at Daisies last night! I moved to Logan Square about four months ago and this restaurant came highly recommended by so many. The ravioli and the rigatoni were absolutely divine! So wonderful to have this gem just a few blocks away. Highly recommend!

I’ve been to some of the best and hardest restaurants to get into in. This is one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Completely blown away. The flavors were very unique. The spice was perfect. If I’m being picky though the waiter didn’t ask us one time how the food was. Not much conversation. I understand how crazy busy it is but there should be something other than taking our order. He was really nice though. I already made 2 more reservations. 😂

The food, service, Sam V was our outstanding server, and overall ambiance were all fantastic. We are so happy to have this new dinning option on the NorthShore. This was our first time at EMA celebrating our 53rd wedding anniversary with friends and we definitely will be back again
