Welcome to Golden Palace!We offer a Eat-As-Much-As-You-Like Menu everyday of the week for £22 per adult, £11 per child (5 - 12 years) £5 per child (4 - 5 age) and children of 0-2 eat for free! and All our food is cooked freshly at the restaurant and brought to your table!     Highly recommend the Tolbooth. Went here recently for a date night with my boyfriend. The service and food were amazing. Quality of food compared to price is very good. I had the oysters to start and my partner had the shellfish bisque. For mains we had the blade of beef and I was going to have the hake but with the fish markets being all over the place I opted for the cod which came with the same accompaniments as the hake. The piece of cod and beef we received was a very good portion. Everything was delicious. For desserts we had the salted pecan cookie and the Christmas pudding both were lovely. Good portions good food good service! My only quibble is I wish there was more options for single glasses of Rose. It was nice but a little more choice would be grand. We will be back!

    Always an excellent choice of interesting food, brilliantly cooked with perfect professional friendly service in comfortable surroundings. Extensive choice of accompanying wines. Fruh Kolsh as excellent choice for an alcohol free beer. Deserts are superb. A consistently great restaurant over the years.

    We haven’t dined out in a while. Delicious food, the restaurant was packed. Very good sign. Very big portions. Food very tasty, piping hot. We will definitely return. Servers very good, efficient and friendly.

    Met friends for a pre Christmas get together, we were not bothered about Christmas menu. Tables could have had white table cloths on as the restaurant was quite dark with the dark wood panelled walls, ceiling and tables. Food portions were small but adequate for women perhaps but not for the menfolk. Food was tasty and well presented. A real fire was on and it was cosy and inviting. We had a super evening as for the most part we were the only 4 in the dining room on a Saturday night while there were a few large functions going on elsewhere. Service was great, well looked after. Wine was expensive! Would go back again!
