Here at Basset Down, we’re proud to offer excellent service in a location like no other. Based in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, we’re a family run destination for everyone to visit, for occasions large and small.Our experienced head chef has now taken centre stage in our new restaurant, which is now open to the public throughout the week. It's modern design and informal atmosphere is complimented by seasonal menus with locally sourced produce. Perfect if you’re looking for an ideal spot for lunch with friends, a day out, celebrating a special occasion or swinging by for a quick drink. We also have a selection of homemade cakes, snacks and hot/cold drinks available throughout the day.

The Duke Hotel is an independent, family-run gastro pub; a place to eat, drink and sleep.Tucked away in the picturesque village of Hilmarton, we are serving locally sourced seasonal food in a relaxed and welcoming ambience. The Duke has a stunning beer garden overlooking the majestic beauty of Hilmarton's fields and countryside. The pub also offers 4 freshly renovated en-suite boutique hotel rooms, 5 pitches for caravan & motorhome and The Duchess lounge, the old coach house, which has been renovated and converted into a farm shop & tea room. The Duchess lounge is our hidden gem set in The Duke's ground. We offer a homemade selection of cakes, scones, teas & coffee, afternoon tea, cream tea, breakfast, brunch and lunch. The Duchess also offers a great space for private hire. We also have a small farm shop selling local raw honey, organic butter and milk, free-range eggs, fruit and vegetables from nearby farmers, flowers and lots of local produce and hand-crafted gift ideas.

Welcome to our lovely welcoming traditional village pub. We offer a homely relaxing feel where all are welcome, including dogs. We offer a great range of traditional pub food prepared to a high standard & yet keeping a low cost simple lunch or dining option. We also offer an additional range of other meals to compliment the menu & offer a variety to select from including smaller portions for lighter meals & kids. With a bar for just drinks or to accompany your meals we can provide simple soft & non alcoholic beverages to a great selection of locally brewed ales & IPA's. Being situated just off of the famous Ridgeway trail this is a perfect place for a getaway & country walks.
