Ruta Oaxaca Mexican Cuisine opened in Astoria in 2021 with such a wonderful and successful home run that a second location opened in Patchogue in March 2022.Ruta Oaxaca means “Road to Oaxaca,” a historic state in the southern part of Mexico. Mr. Castillo and his Partners are keenly focused on honoring Oaxacan culinary traditions, whose fame is derived in great part from its many varieties of moles. By legend, these ancient recipes are more than sauces, they are the very focus of the meal. We all grew up with our Grandmothers making Sunday dinner and "The Meatball" being the focal point of the day. We cherish those days of coming together with our families and the memories we created. Our goal here at "That Meetball Place" is to create an atmosphere for friends and families to gather together and enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed environment with a great vibe and simple food like grandma used to make. Mamma Lombardi's is a family-owned traditional Italian restaurant. The Lombardi family has been actively serving food in Long Island for over 40 years. Went with my two teenage nieces. I was delighted to see a menu that gave me a chance to try some unusual meatballs but included chicken tenders, steak, and mac and cheese that even my fussiest niece devoured The waitress was attentive, competent, and friendly. Great food and service. Worth a try.
