A Classic French Bistro in the heart of Edison Park has been a dream of Executive Chef and owner Joe Calabrese for several years. Joe was professionally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York. Before opening his other restaurant, Zia’s Trattoria (located one block west of Café Touché at 6699 N. Our Pizza Club found them in The Ultimate Chicago Pizza Guide by Steve Dolinsky. Thus far it is our favorite pizza from the book’s many recommend places a certainly the best Neapolitan style.

This place is ran like a well oiled machine, from the servers to the staff. The service was impeccable and this place is doing something right. Food being amazing and flavorful was the cherry on top!

The food was delicious. We had a great server. I loved my salad. It had beets and walnuts, and the nuts were extremely fresh. My sister is a vegetarian, and the server suggested a pasta with cheese, looked like spaghetti. It was so delicious. I tried a little bit of it. We also had an almond cake that was very good with bourbon maple gelato. Tasted kind of boozy we loved it ha ha ha.

There were a few slip ups, but everything was rectified right away. The food was excellent. The service was good and the manager was fantastic. Definitely will be back soon.
