The Punchbowl is a 17th century gastro pub, located in the heart of rural Essex and the Crouch Valley and the South Essex Salt marshes. We offer nose-to-tail style menu, with unpretentious dishes that focus on flavour. Everything is made in house - from bread to mayonnaise, and we use local, seasonal and organic ingredients. This pub is fast becoming a firm favourite - every time we go , they are so friendly and accommodating ! We have been this afternoon - Christmas Eve and just for drinks - and they were happy for us to do that, even though some pubs would insist on meals . The decoration is fabulous and we had a great time !
