Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. The tiny-but-iconic eatery was established in 1980 and has been dishing out incredibly fresh and delicious food in the small historic yellow building ever since. The menu is all regional fare — fish caught from the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay, plus vegetables, fruits, herbs (and beautiful fresh flowers) from West Cape May’s Beach Plum Farm, augmented by produce from other New Jersey farms.The kitchen philosophy is to cook simple, expertly seasoned dishes that are lovingly prepared and made from fresh, first-rate ingredients. Small intimate dinning room in the Washington pedestrian mall. Professional, friendly & attentive staff. Attractively decorated for the holiday while still maintaining elegance. It is BYOB. The New England Clam Chowder was flavorful with generous amount of clams. Husband had grilled polenta with broccoli rabe & fresh shaved Pecorino Romano cheese “like Mom used to make.” I couldn’t finish my seafood risotto. So generous was the portion of local shrimp, scallops & clams though I tried ! Husband had Shrimp & Salmon with mash potatoes in chili sauce. Delicious. Try the Pumpkin cheesecake & you’ll think it’s Thanksgiving again. Highly reccomended

Went in for a late lunch on a cold day. Harry’s was packed but festive for the Christmas holiday. Service was fast and the meal was very tasty. Blackened shrimp tacos were light and flavorful. Short ribs with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were delicious

They were so accommodating - we wanted to order a salad at dinner (not on the menu) and were able to. Our server was outstanding - helpful, did not rush us.
