On West Clyde Street, the Riva dining space is stylish and comfortable which, in a way, reflects the food: traditional, wholesome recipes prepared and presented in a contemporary way. A great restaurant opposite the Theatre Royal in Glasgow. Evidently very popular, we had a lunch reservation and people were being turned away, even the bar area was full. We arrived a little early to meet friends and sat at the bar for a pre-lunch cocktail which were great. There was a seasonal lunch menu and a la carte, and spoiled for choice on both; lots of regional dishes and locally-sourced meat, fish and produce. A good selection of wines by the glass and of course a nice whisky list. We had a great time, and would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely meal on the 23/12/24,the restaurant was busy, but the staff were very attentive, and service was excellent, wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Had a lovely pre Christmas catchup with friends. Lovely cosy atmosphere and comfortable seating. Food was very good and great value for money. Servers were attentive but didn't disturb us. Overall a very pleasant visit.
