La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (thanks to our house truffle dog Alba!), rare woodland mushrooms, and much wonderful produce from our small organic farm in Kent.The wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers, and regularly updated with a specialised focus on low intervention, natural and biodynamic wines.We are across the road to the Design Museum & Holland Park, a 10 minute walk from Kensington Olympia and a short distance to the Royal Albert Hall.

The menu features true Tuscan cuisine, with many of the ingredients being imported especially from the Villa and surrounding farms. Great restaurant, amazing decor and the food was superb. Right what we were looking for in an Asian/Mexican fusion menu. The staff were polite and helpful, it was my husband's birthday and they made it extra special by oferering a piece of cake with a candle. If you want a fun night out with your friends this is the place, not suited for a quiet dinner since it's a small space and it gets quiet loud with conversation. Overall we would love to return to try the rest of the items in the menu.

Taking Afternoon Tea at the Landmark Hotel was an absolute pleasure. Everything about this experience is well deserving of a 5* rating, the flavours, their presentation, the surroundings and above all the attentiveness of the staff made it a perfect afternoon treat.

Oh my goodness what a find! Delicious cuisine in a very smart decor. After our dinner head chef came over to check on us which was a really lovely touch - it turns out he is not just a great cook but charming too (none of this moody chef nonsense)
