Modern market and dining concept highlighting the influence of Greek products on Mediterranean cuisine. Mediterranean cuisine is rooted in an archipelago of magical vistas but rocky soil; where folks that could grow little more than herbs and olives were compelled to build ships to trade what little their soil brought forth. The resulting market for herbs and olives used in food, medicine, ritual and cosmetics— created a network of Greek trading nodes that stretched across the Mediterranean and beyond. When we want seafood Limani is our go-to restaurant on the north shore. One of the few places you can get stone crabs by the piece (you pick it, they charge by weight) and a wide selection of fish. Excellent sides available and they are very good about exchanging one side for another if the main course is listed with a side (for example, I switched to lemon potatoes instead of Horta with my fish). The prix fixe dinner available at various times (all night Sunday and Monday) is a good deal but desserts are very limited. Service is usually excellent but this last time staff had to be reminded more than once to bring melted butter for the crab and to bring out the side order of Greek fries after everything else was served. Limani is expensive by LI standards but the quality of the food keeps us coming back.

Very nice. Just don’t get why not ask for would u like bread. Without charging Especially when you order a soup or mussels. We all like to dip in the gravy They have beautiful baguettes staring at you from the station.
